Welcome to Cheeky Chicken Cottage
Cheeky Chicken Cottage is located in the quiet and rural farming village of Huby, which is 6 miles North of York and 3 miles from the lovely market town of Easingwold. The Mended Drum pub is approximately half a mile away and the New Inn pub is even closer.
Both pubs have a restaurant, serve good food and are great for meeting the friendly locals and both are dog and wellington boot friendly! In Huby we also have a village shop and post office selling local produce and a fish and chip shop. There are lots of places locally who will deliver take away food also.
Within easy reach are the North Yorkshire Moors and Yorkshire Dales, plus the popular East Coast which boasts such favourites as Whitby, Scarborough, Filey, Flamborough etc. Other popular visitor attractions include Castle Howard, 15 minutes drive away, National Trust properties and lovely market towns. We are close to the Hambleton Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Huby is extremely popular with cyclists and walkers, with many trails, bridle paths and public footpaths close by. Woods and lakes are either on your doorstep or a short 15 minute drive away. We are easily accessed via train station (York), car, we are on a public transport route and a short taxi journey from York.
This new build cottage is nestled in the gardens of the owners home, 'Inglenook House' which is a working small holding. Visitors can view pets ranging from rescue free ranging chickens, donkeys, horses, plus the resident sheep dog called Panda and family pet cat called Quack! Visiting dogs must therefore be on a lead whilst outside on the property at all times.
